In the video below, we harvest 14 cabbages grown outdoors on one aeroponic tower. When farming inside a greenhouse, using our tallest model, you could grow up to 26 cabbages per tower. However, when growing outdoors, considering that cabbage is a heavy crop, we usually limit the number of cabbages per tower in case of stormy weather.
In this Instagram reel, we are growing Farao cabbage, an early-maturing, compact variety of green cabbage known for its tender, sweet, and crisp leaves. It forms uniform, medium-sized heads with a smooth texture and excellent flavor, making it ideal for fresh eating, coleslaw, and light cooking. Farao cabbage is highly adaptable, performs well in various climates, and has good resistance to splitting.

Climate-Controlled Greenhouses vs. Indoor Farming
Most cabbage varieties will grow perfectly when using our aeroponic towers: green cabbage, savoy cabbage, red cabbage, Napa cabbage, Stonehead cabbage, Brunswick cabbage, etc., which have also proven to give strong yields and delicious tasting crops.
It is obvious that when growing cabbages on a Tower Garden Home or Tower Garden Flex for domestic use, different varieties of crops can be mix-matched on the same tower. However, when growing cabbages for commercial purposes, it is recommended to do monoculture by only growing one type of cabbage per tower.
Like for all the crops grown on aeroponic towers, we use a proprietary ionic 100% natural mineral nutrient solution that provides all macro and micronutrients to the plants. Based on an advanced scientific comparative study published on our website, our crops feature as high of a nutrient density as the best crops grown organically in the soil.
Contrary to the tasteless vegetables grown with conventional hydroponics, crops that are cultivated on aeroponic towers offer a much better taste and texture profile, thanks to the highly oxygenated environment at the root level inside the towers, allowing plants to metabolize higher levels of nutrients.

Growing all types of brassica vegetables on aeroponic towers:
When growing vegetables using our aeroponic towers, we advise growing all types of cabbages but also, we recommend cultivating most Brassica vegetables such as arugula, kale, bok choy, Pak choy, broccoli, cauliflower, romanesco, kohlrabi, mustard greens, etc. however, although considered as brassica as well, you will not be able to grow rutabaga nor turnips since these are root vegetables.
